“I was an US Navy helicopter pilot, retired Lieutenant Commander, who is always fond of the ocean. I’ve been surfing for more than 43 years and is currently a volunteer surf instructor with Balboa Naval Hospital’s Surf Therapy Clinic. [Due to COVID, for this engagement photoshoot, Cassandra and I were in conversation via IG, text, email and Pinterest to exchange ideas of feelings and moods we wanted. We then settled on two set of outfits and I brought some accessories to the shoot. We did our pre-planned poses, and then her finance brought the guitar to sing to her on the beach.
